Artists in Residence Bris 2019
Feb 05 2019
Beer. Cider. Music. Food. Art. As part of Beer InCider we love to invite expressions of interest from creative folk in the community to share their cool, whacky and innovative ideas with us, so we can help them come to life!
We're excited to have two amazing visual artists in residence at this year's Beer InCider Experience in Brisbane. Welcome back Shani Finch (who last year created the mural masterpiece, "Beer is a girl's drink"), and a warm welcome to Brydie Perkins-Brakels.
Brydie is a contemporary artist based in Brisbane who loves nothing more than bright colours and tasty beer. Her work features vivid and flamboyant palettes using a variety of mediums. Her favourite things to paint are zesty florals and her aim is to create pieces that fill people with joy. She is also plant, op shop and patterned sock aficionado according to her Insta bio.

Shani Finch is a Brisbane based artist, using art as a platform to commentate on the society around her. Her artistic platforms range from painting, drawing, mural work, paste ups, digital art and jewellery. As a young female Finch takes her beliefs in feminism and self-love and opens a dialogue about issues restricting empowerment against the overall negative perception of sexuality in society.
