FRIDAY
6pm-6.30pm
'Turning the Mic Around' with James Smith (The Crafty Pint) interviewed by Tom Delmont (Fixation Brewing)

He's asked thousands of questions since founding The Crafty Pint, it's time the microphone was turned around on James Smith. Who better to do this than the man who literally introduced James to beer in Australia, Fixation Brewing's own Tom Delmont. Join James and Tom as they explore how a double date at Mountain Goat turned into The Crafty Pint and what's driven James every day since to create one of Australia's best online publications.

7.15pm-7.45pm
'So you want to work in beer?' with Aether Brewing and friends including Mazen Hajjar (Hawkers Beer) & Steve 'Hendo' Henderson (Rockstar Brewer Academy)

You're sick of your 9-5 office job, your tradie job or your science-y job and want a beer change? Always wanted to work in beer but never been sure how to make it happen? Join Dave and Jimmy from Aether Brewing, and friends from some of Australia's best known breweries, as they flesh out their journeys into the beer world and how they recruit for roles. Come armed with questions you want answered. Bring your resume if you're really keen!

SATURDAY
2.20pm-2.50pm
'Beer Tourism - the Future is Now' with Joslyn Erickson (Hop On Brewery Tours), Anne-Maree Moon (GM of Tourism & Major Events, Brisbane Marketing), Jim Gold (Newstead Brewing Co) and Martin Keetels (Beer InCider Experience)

Sitting side by side with Melbourne, Brisbane has the most exciting beer scene in Australia. As more tourists descend on Brisbane with the purpose of experiencing our unique beer culture, more people will be required to work in beer tourism. What do beer tourists want? What are the opportunities that exist right now? How can Brisbane become Australia's beer tourism capital?

3.40pm-4.10pm
'The Enigma' with Adrian Slaughter (Co-owner Green Beacon), Marc Chrismas (Co-owner Green Beacon), Chris Borbas (GM Green Beacon) and James Smith (The Crafty Pint)

Since humble beginnings in 2013, Brisbane's Green Beacon has taken all before it. As if winning Champion Small Brewery in 2017 at the Australian International Beer Awards wasn't enough, it graduated to win Champion Medium Brewery in 2018. Considered by those in the know to be in the top echelon of Australian breweries, Green Beacon has recently added to its Teneriffe brewpub by opening a significant production facility in Geebung and last year it even collaborated with Ball Park Music (ahem!). Named after a light set up in a prominent position, this group of over achievers has ironically done all of this while maintaining an element of mystery. Who are the people behind Green Beacon? James Smith from The Crafty Pint will ask this and many other questions of Adrian Slaughter (co-owner), Marc Chrismas (co-owner) and Chris Borbas (general manager). Join us as James lifts the veil on the enigma that is Green Beacon.

5pm-5.30pm
'BrewDog & Brisbane' with Zarah Prior (Top Dog BrewDog), Mimmi Hetorp (Marketing & Community Manager BrewDog) and Rory Gibson (The Courier Mail)

Join Australian Top Dog Zarah Prior and Marketing and Community Manager Mimmi Hetorp as they discuss BrewDog's origins, Equity for Punks, BrewDog's journey to date in Australia and tell us more about BrewDog's Brisbane brewery! Hosted by Rory Gibson (The Courier Mail) this session will include the opportunity to ask Zarah and Mimmi questions about BrewDog, their experiences in the industry and their personal goals for BrewDog.
