Dates & Venue
Q: When is Beer InCider Experience 2019?
A: Beer InCider 2019 will be held in Melbourne on Saturday 2 March 2019, in Brisbane on Saturday 9 March 2019 with a two-day festival to follow in Brisbane in September 2019.
Q: When do tickets go on sale?
A: Tickets are on sale now!
Q: Where is the festival?
A: Beer InCider is held at Melbourne Showgrounds, Epsom Road, Ascot Vale. For easy public transport directions, jump over to the Melbourne Showgrounds website. Entry to the festival is via Gate 1 on Epsom Road.
Q: What if it rains?
A: We have a huge amount of undercover space thanks to a ginormous marquee AKA 01 Exhibition Pavilion. Bring a jumper (it can get chilly in the evenings) and get set to whet that thirst and appetite at Beer InCider.
Q: When do tickets go on sale?
A: Tickets are on sale now!
Q: How much are tickets?
A: Tickets are sold in releases and there are general admission and VIP tickets available. Brewsletter presale tickets start from $40 each (+BF) for general admission and VIP tickets are $295 each (+BF). VIP tickets are extremely limited and will sell out. General admission tickets will only be available at the gate if not sold out prior.
Q: Can I get a refund on my ticket or give it to someone else?
A: Sorry, no refunds but prior to the event you can give your ticket to a mate. They just need to be over 18 and present photo ID at the gate (as proof of age). You do not need to change the name on the ticket. For more info on our ticketing policy, see the bottom of the homepage.
Q: I’m bringing a big group of mates. Can I get a discount?
A: Unfortunately not for our March event, sorry. But you know what would be awesome? Rounding up your mates and purchasing VIP tickets for an exclusive, sweet-as beer festival experience.
Q: What if I forgot to print my ticket?
A: No worries. Just show us your ticket on your mobile – we can scan it from there.
Q: Will there be tickets at the gate?
A: We highly recommend you pre-purchase your ticket online. Why? 1) save money 2) get free public transport to and from the festival and 3) avoid missing out! If the event is sold out, it’s sold out. Limited tickets will only be available at the gate if not sold out prior. Don’t leave it to chance.
Q: Help! I need help with the ticket process.
A: Uh oh. Lucky the team at Eventopia are ready to help – click HERE.
Q: How do I get to the festival by public transport?
A: We like the way you think. Free public transport to and from the festival is included with your ticket. More info about how that works will be released closer to the festival date. Melbourne Showgrounds is super close to numerous public transport options including bus, tram and train. For easy public transport directions check out Melbourne Showgrounds website.
At The Festival
Q: What time do gates open?
A: Gates open 11am and close at 10pm. Last drinks are called 30 minutes prior to gates closing.
Q: Is this a family friendly event?
A: No sorry. This is an 18+ only event. Babes in arms are welcome, however prams will be subject to a bag check/inspection upon entry. If your child or children can walk, please leave them at home (with a babysitter)!
Q: Do I need to bring an ID or passport?
A: YES. Every person, no matter how mature, will be asked for valid photo identification. This means a Passport, Drivers Licence or an 18+ card. Photocopies are not valid forms of identification. There are no exceptions.
Q: Do you have disabled access?
A: Yes, Melbourne Showgrounds is accessible-friendly. Find out more here.
Q: Should I bring cash or card?
A: We’re a cashless event which means NO CASH! Bring your Mastercard, Visa or AMEX debit or credit card, with ‘tap & go’ functionality or a chip. It’s ‘tap & go’ powered by Square.
Q: Will there be passouts?
A: No, passouts are not available. No wristband = no entry and no wristbands will be reissued.
Q: Can I bring my dog/cat/goldfish?
A: We love pets but unfortunately Beer InCider is a no-pet zone. Leave them at home with the kids – kidding – with the babysitter of course. Seeing Eye Dogs are very welcome.
Q: Can I buy merch at the festival?
A: Yeah you can. Visit the merch tent run by the legends at Thirsty Merchants to purchase Beer InCider merch as well as merch from our brewers and bands. Think t-shirts, caps, bottle openers, stubby coolers, beer paddles and more. And remember, you can purchase it all with your debit or credit card with ‘tap & go’ powered by Square.
Q: Can I smoke at the festival?
A: You are only permitted to smoke within the designated smoking areas. Look for the signs. There will be no cigarettes for sale at the festival.
The Beers, The Ciders, The Food
Q: Which brewers will be at the festival and what beers/ciders are they bringing?
A: You can find our growing list of brewers here. A comprehensive Brew List will be made available closer to the event in our free festival guide. Make sure you’re a Brewsletter subscriber to be the first in the know about everything – sign up at www.beerincider.com.
Q: Will there be beverage options for non-beer and cider drinkers?
A: Indeed! We will have wine, cocktails, alcoholic ginger beer, soft drink and water for the unconverted.
Q: Can I bring food or alcohol into the festival?
A: No. We've gone to great lengths to secure a fantastic line up of food trucks and brewers who will be serving up some super tasty options just for you. We'll be checking bags at the entrance to make sure no food, alcohol, glass or other contraband is brought into the venue. Please BYO empty plastic water bottle and fill it within the festival from our free water fountain.
Q: Will you have vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free food options?
A: Yes. Check back for our full foodie line up to be announced soon.
Q: What sizes do the brews come in?
A: There will be a 100mL taster, a pot and cans for sale.
Q: Why do you serve the beers and ciders in plastic cups or cans only?
A: It’s an RSA thing. If you drop plastic, it bounces! Simples. Plus, cans look wicked in our Beer InCider branded stubby coolers, available from the merch tent.
Q: Who’s playing at the 2019 Beer InCider?
A: Hold on to your beer... DMA's, Something for Kate, Alex the Astronaut, WAAX, West Thebarton and Loser.

What to Wear
Q: Can I wear my thongs and singlet?
A: Yes you can, but Melbourne Showgrounds requires patrons (that’s you) to be neatly dressed while on site. That means no offensive shirts. Don’t forget to bring a jumper as the evenings can get quite chilly, plus a hat and maybe some sunnies. You can also bring an empty plastic water bottle to fill for free from our water fountains.
Q: Can I volunteer at Beer InCider?
A: We do take a limited number of volunteers each year. If you’re over 18 years of age and super reliable, then shoot a resume to us at email@example.com with ‘MELB BIC 2019 VOLLIE’ in the subject line.
Lost & Found
Q: Help! I lost something.
A: Have you checked your pockets? It’s okay, just visit our information tent. All lost property will be taken there, and a register will be kept of all lost items. If you realise you’ve lost something after the event (apart from your dignity), shoot us a message on Facebook.
Media & Contact Us
Q: I'm with the media. Can I get into the festival to take some photos or video?
A: We love the media! Contact our marketing team at Red Stockholm via email at firstname.lastname@example.org and they’ll take care of you.
Q: Can I get an interview with the festival director?
A: You sure can. Marty’s a busy guy so email our trusty marketing team at Red Stockholm to arrange a time at email@example.com.
